STATEMENT OF NEED

Rapid urbanisation and overpopulation of many areas of the planet places huge demands on land, water, housing and energy requirements.  Cities are the major users of natural resources within and outside their boundaries and they are the major producers of waste.  They leave a large ecological footprint.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Creative group process village design that encourages maximum biodiversity using:Earth friendly building systems, Waste elimination, Energy integration, Restoration ecology

PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION METHODS

Creation of mixed indigenous nurseries, Implementation of earth friendly building, Identify and utilise local energy resources, Waste integration, Methane extraction, Earthworm farming etc

EXPECTED BENEFITS AND RESULTS  Ecological integration of humans into the landscapes, Space enough in human settlement design in order for the individual household to provide all energy and other human requirements
